Crochet, Stitching, Felt, Beads, Baking and a new HOBBY!!

First I wanne show you some other things I'm working on adn finished.

The bolero for Kira.

I really love it, to bad i didn't had enough yarn, so for the arms it's now 3/4.

But it looks so cute on her 

I made the pattern my self.

I like it very much.. wanne do it again another time (then with enough yarn). 

Also wanne try and make Noah a spencer like this. ( which I'm calling for years, and still haven't started on that , as 100 milion other things..hihi)

For Sinterklaas Noah wanted to make a Sinterklaas garland from Hama beads.

We stopped, but this weekend/next week we are going to try and finish it

The two above, we made last year.

Noah made the Pete and Sinterklaas on the second row out of his mind.

It's that awesome?? =)))) ♥ ♥

Kira was trying to made the pink above all by herself again left below, so great to see where she thought would be the plae for the earrings and the eye, and together with Kira I made the gifts..

So I hope more in a next post..

Finally a stitching update of Jingles.

I'm making another shrug, this time for a colleague, I learned her to crochet again, but she wasn't up for this big project and asked me, I wanne finish it next week, as then I have to get back to work again, and also with her, wanne give it..

But that will be no problem I think.

In my mind I wanted to make a puppet show for so long for the kids.. 

It's a WIP at the moment, but also are the dolls/puppets

As I'm not showing baking pictures, I'm still doing it.

Here I show you a Ciabatta bread I baked this week.

It was so yummy.

I love it

I made it a few time with baked bacon and sundried tomatoes, that's even more yummy, next time I will take a picture of it

Then my new hobby ( omg how much things can someone love to do)

Last week you saw the painted faces of the kids, it's very cheap stuff, and as last year I also had many problems to get it off, this time again.

I got tired of that, so when I wanted to buy the best stuff, and say that it would be send as a package I thought lets do crazy and buy a starter set with more colors.

and this week the sweet mailman brought it to me.. 

( I always smile at him, he always brings me sweet beautifull things =P ) 

The next day kids wanted there face painted

This is what I did, after a hour looking on Pinterest for great idea's

Noah loves football, and the our flag, so I made him a fire football and a flag.

Noah wanted me to use gold so that's in there..

As you can see Kira is a littel FROZEN-girl ( like ALLLL the girls al over the world at the moment) and wanted frozen on her cheek, and not just a easy snowflake , but also the face

For a first try I love it...

The next day, kids wanted again.

Noah something from Sinterklaas.

Kira..... again Frozen... lol =)))

I found some awesome pictures on Pinterest.

Getting better, and love working with different colors.

Then this morning I was still eating 20 minutes till we had to bring the kids to school.

Mommy wil you paint us again?

So put it all away and painted the kids again.

Both wanted something from Sinterklaas.

It did it fast, they liked it very much.

This afternoon I wanted to try a big piece that my neighbor did on her both kids last week, and it looked so awesome.

Kira of course wanted purle and pink.

This is what I did

hihihihi... Kira with her funny face....

Every time I have problems with the eyes, but still such a cute try.

Tomorrow I will aske dthe kids both what they want a whole face painted or this Pete painted..

Then for the Sinterklaas party on Sunday I'm baking a Sinterklaas pie.

I'm setting things ready, tomorrow morning I will start

 It has been a while since I worked with fondant

And trying new pie filling..

But also more in a next post.

As we still are in the AMAZING time of Sinterklaas, it feels kind of bad, but I'm also working on a Christmas piece...... bad bad me.... but it's so beautifull, and I really never thought I would make it.. hihihi, I will show it after Sinterklaas... maybe I will finish it even... That would be great as I still have a 100 milion things I wanne make in just one day...... =(

♥ Sinterklaas ♥

As you all know I'm a big big fan of this sweet men,

Sinterklaas.

Every year he comes with his boat from Spain to the Netherlands togheter with many many Pete's.

He will stay with us for a few weeks and spoil the kids so much, and then after his birthday he will go home again, working on for next year.

As you maybe have heard there is a lot of trouble around him in our country, expecially for the Pete's, I'm not going to write about that on my blog, because it makes me very mad, and I;m afraid that in a few years we don't celebrate this awesome old tradition.

It's a happy blog.. so I'm going to show you the happy part of this tradition, that i love so much!!

Let's begin with the crafting part.

Each year I try to craft something new.

And last year I had seen this pattern also, but now I made it.

A crochet Sinterklaas and Pete, from the book Ik hou van Holland en Haken (I love Holland and crochet)from Christel Krukkert .

The bag is a free pattern found here, I made it with double yarn and a bigger hook, so it fits the size off the dolls.

I'm really in love with them, love the pattern.

( for Xmas going to make also something, that has the same basic pattern as this)

Next year I'm going to try and make more Pete's as I love how this looks like, and it need more friends.... and off course one with pink/purple clothing, Kira's favorite.

Then all of the decoartion together!

 I got the awesome idea off a fb-friend to put lights in the boat.

The first thing that Noah does when he comes down is put the lights on!!

As you see on each pic it all looks different, that's because really every day they play with it.

One Pete and present are on the table to fix.. that's normal.. hihi

 I put a few things in my lovely new plant

Every year I planning on making the Sinterklaas that belongs with these two Pete's.

But..... as you can see, I still haven't made it

 Each year in my front window, I love them so much.. too cute.. teh little Pete's with present

This pepernotenkrans ( translation: pepper nuts wreath) I made 3 years ago, and it's still 'alive'

Here and there are missing some nuts, but I still like it!!!

And the beautifull heart shelf.

As you can see the crochet pieces are on Kira's Kitchen.

I just see I forgot to make a picture of my two favorite pieces, those are for the next post!

In the bag off Pete are not only gifts but also a lot, really a lot of pepernoten ( pepper nuts)

And we love baking them

Every year, Sinterklaas comes every where so also here in our little town.

We wait till he comes, walk around in town with music -> Sinterklaas songs, and we go to the town-building and celebrate more.

Every year they think of something great to do, this year the pete's where gone and we needed to find them.

My pic's are on my camera, but i got some pic's from the fb-page. and soon will get the great pic of the kids sitting with Sinterklaas, a photographer made them.

If he is in twon then maybe as we are very very sweet and sing good songs he will come by our house and put something in our shoe.

So the kids tryed, and put a carrot in for Americo, the horse of Sinterklaas

 look look look... he stopped by!!!

On the Sinterklaas TV-show you can see that if Grandpa Pete come he put's a lot of pepernoten, so he brought us a visit.

( Noah told me that he normally put's a lot more, so I told him I thing the bag was almost empty... 

Note to myself :::: next time MORE pepernoten, otherwise he doesn't believe it.. lol)

There was also a note from Grandpa Pete: saying he heard the kids sing so great, and Noah is doing great on his reading, and that he saw that Kira could write her own name already.

Yes Pete's are every where, and they see and hear EVERTHING.. so we have to be kinds and sweet the whole year otherwise just like Santa we get on the naughty list, and don't get a thing

And if that wasn't enough he also left a present ( Sinterklaas color/work book, kids love those so much)

Isn't this the best, to be a child with such a great sweet men???

Playing old games, sing and getting a present ;)))

It's also the last time, Kira has to sit to long still, and I need to hang hairs in front of her eyes, she was not a big fan of that

Wanne meet my new little friend??

Hi there,

How are you all? 

Anything special is happing around thh world??

Here my favorite holiday is coming but more about that in the end of this post

First I want you to meet my new little friend, and also from the kids, because they play a lot with her.

I was making 2 things togheter.

The colors looked awesome on one pic

Isn't she cute??

It's a dutch pattern called Eefje, I give it my own twist, and made her in to a little Angel.

Kira helped me with the details, she made the necklace and the bracelet, and put the beads on the hair flower

She also took her other dolls at her side, they needed to watch it. =)))

Kira named our little doll Fladder, cute name..

Then the skirt

I love this thread, the color change is so great

(don't look at what's more on the pic, I made a quick picture, and didn't put the bed good, already got a comment about that, when I showed the pic... next time I will look better , or need to find a new pleace for a mirror)

This how it looks on me, the color change, with the light, It really looks like it on the table.

It fit great and sits very comfy... I love it!!!

Two weeks ago was the big craft fair the Kreadoe, where I go to every year with my MIL.

I made so much photo's, from a few I made a collage

I bought 2 colors of the beautifull crochet yarn on the right.

And ow ow, look at the boat and the other great felt pieces.

Look at the funny pic my MIL made from me in a painting with big lady's. 

( it's a special way of painting, many are making such paintings, you now it??)

The craft fair was in Utrecht, a big site in the middle of the Netherlands.

(it also was in the same building as LEGO-world from a few weeks back)

After the Kreadoe, we always go down town to look for a cute restaurant, we found a little one with many fish dishes.. ( MY FAVORITE!! I love fish)

Look how chic it all looked

It tasted so AMAZING.. really great.. 

Can't wait till next year, we already now a little restaurant...;)))

Then Saterday was the day that Sinterklaas came with his boat to the Netherlands all the way from Spain.

♥ MY FAVORITE FEAST DAY!!! ♥

Every day we see 10 minutes on TV what he is doing, the Pete's getting ready to spoil all the kids.

On the 5th of December is the birthday of Sinterklaas, the day he will give all the kids present.

Most of my followers will now we really love this man and all around it..

I put all my decoration in the living, and made something new but that's for another post.

Look at the kids looking to the TV-show that showed that Sinterklaas came

Every year we buy special things for lunch so the kids really can enjoy this special lunch in front of the TV ( what already was a party)

It's a very happy time.!!

Jingles update, and some more ♥

I planned this post a few day's sooner, but you all know, there are not enough hours in a days.

But here it is..

Let's start with my Jingles Pieces!!

I"M UP TOO DATEEE...

Only need the two big pieces in the middle and some border, that's for this and next month.

I'm still so very happy with it.. looking so great!!

Then I have another crochet pieces!!

My Shrug is finished!!!

Made a pic of me wearing it, but not the best pic.

I'm in love with it!!

It was very easy to make, and I wanne make another one but then with sleeves.

Let me so you a bit how I made it!!

First you make a rectangle as big as you need it, measure for neck to bottum, and then start with chains, and choose the stitch you want to make your rows.

I used HDC.

Done!! 

I only had 3 pieces of yarn, so it was not that big, but it's perfect.

Then fold the long side in half

Then sew  the 2 short sides for 2/3.

The open space is to put your arms in there

And then it's finished

In the most above picture I was wearing it on a black shirt.

I also have a lovely blue one, and it looks awesome on it

I'm very very happy with it..

And I have a new love.. =))

♥♥crocheting clothing♥♥..

That's why I'm working on 2 other pieces:

A skirt, I only had 2 pieces of yarn of a AMAZING color, but not enough, I tryed it on, shown a pic to my friend, she told me I CAN'T walk like that on the street.... WAY TO SHORT... I asked around on facebook, and soon I will get some yarn in my mailbox, so I can finish it and wear it.

Also was making a bolero for Kira, and again run out of yarn, only had 1 piece of yarn, I thought that was enough for such a little girl.. need finish it off a bit, she can wear it, but now with the real Fall/Winter weather it;s to cold!

Also a little doll is coming alone nicely...

More about it all soon..
