Happy Birthday to me ♥

Today the 10th of Augst is my birthday.

I turned 31 =O

Yes 31 years already.

What does time go by so fast.

I'm glad for each year and day that I get, but still I don't like getting older because it all goes so fast.

My kids grow so fast, my body is getting fast old. The old years are coming closer and closer, and as I work in a nursing home I know what age does to people. It's not something to look forward too......

But for the moment I enjoy every second of the day.

Today was the first day My family wasn't complete.

Noah is not at home:`) He is having the time of his life at his nephews home.

Maybe some of you remember I have two nephews in Belgium who share my birthday, one turned 5 today, the other 2 yesterday

We celebrated there birthday Yesterday

My nephew of 6 and niece of 3 are not on the picture.

And my SIL asked if Noah could stay over. 

Can you imagine the answer of Noah???

It was a awesome birthday party

As My BIL is a vet and has many animals of his own Kira had the time of her life to, as you know she love horses, and they have two horses, mother and son.

Every time for my nieces and nephews I make a birthday garland. last year when the youngest turned 1 my sewing machine broke down, so the kids and I crafted a paper one, but this year I could finish it off

Now it;'s complete, they all have one.

It's always so fun to do.

This morning Noah called to sing to me with his cousins, and Kira and I sing to our nephew.

Noah told so many story's already, I think when I'm going to pick him up I will get so many story's 

I can't wait

Last week I got a package..

What will it be, from who will it be........... 

It's from Angele ( still no blog ) , she was so sweet to sent me the most awesome birthday calender, and a hanger for outside, as you see I already hang it outside.

Today Hubby went on the roof to fix my sun-problem.

We have dark and light roof plates, but the light above my table lets to much sunlight though, it's to hot in the summer to sit there, so he put a dark one there

Now it's a nicer place to sit in the summer.. Kira was playing a came with my BIL who is here for a week, and as Noah is not home, she has him all to herself

We also baked a cake. a apple-raisin cake, and cooked a yummy diner

Kids also made me a special drawing for my birthday

 Noah made me one where he was giving me a cuddle and a kiss

 and Kira draw a party with music

At this moment its way way past kids bedtime, but I promessed Kira that in the vacation she could stay up as late as mommy, and we choose today.

We are still watching movie ( and I'm also typing this post ) ( woman power/multi-tasking)

But as I look aside it will not take much longer before she falls asleep.. hihihi

Something old, something new

Hello all,

How are you doing with this summer weather ?

We are loving it very much, We have seen much rain, so now we have a green garden again, and not a brown one like weeks ago.

Yes everythings has a good and bad side.. hihi :))

Last week it was Kids-Vacation-Week here. In the Netherlands we have that in almost every town.

You start with building a hut, and then paint it with all the kids in town togheter

Next to that you can also craft a lot.

here you can see how good the kids where building and painting.

I have so many more pic, also of them crafting. The did a lot with a hammer and nails, paint. But inside a big tent alsp with glue, glitter, colors and so much more.. . you name it. Noah and Kira loved it all, outside crafting and inside.. We also eat there , in the middle a picture of the kids warming there bread on a long BBQ, and when it was good you put something yummy in it.

As you se I was also there. I helped every day, and on the last day I painted the faces of the kids, here I was making a spiderman.. I made many Spidermans.

There was a lot of rain, but the kids had so much fun. they really loved it

~  Something old ~

Back in March I think I made small gifts for Rita's her boys.

She gave birth to a really cute boy, and the older one also needed a gift.

As I lost 6 months of picures ( from okt 2014 till march 2015), I really need to look on all apps and on the web where I shown people what I was making ( thank goodness that I do that). and I found some pic's back.

For the little one I made this cute Giraffe

 I put a little sounds in it

I got this cute picture from Rita, there where very glad with it =))))

Then for the big brother.

I know he likes Jake from teh Neverland pirates.

I didn't had a pattern, but I do had a pattern of a cute basic bear that I could use for it that is standing in my side window

I looked up a great photo of Jake and started to crochet

 and Jake came alive

 Gave him a jacket and done he was. ♥

Isn't he cute???

And all that hair, a real boy toy.

Noah saw it and also wanted one.. 

But mommy as always to busy with a million things, so it hasn't come that far..........

~ something new ~

Kira was playing in her Elsa ( Frozen) dress, and something was missing.

Noah had fun with his old Duplo.

She needed a crown!!!!!

I have pinned so much, but never made one. So the first one crawled on my crochet needle

As you see Kira is very happy with it.

Now she ordered a blue one, with white hair like Elsa....

She has to wait bt before teh end of the year she will have it, as it was on my to-do list for this year.

From 2 pieces of yarn I started to make a summer scraf

with crochet hook 9mm, so really big stitches are it,

It's white with a bit of silver with paillettes.

Don't know if I will like it and wear it, but love the yarn, and otherwise Kira can wear it, when she wanne bee a princes again.. hihihi

I don't have something blue, but I do have something green to show you 

 Here do I sit , my little corner.. where I love to craft

 and look look... I have very very small tomatoes on my very very small plant

♥ ~ Vacation ~ ♥

So there I'm again.

I need to confess......... I really am addicted too crochet.

When I started my blog I did stitching and sweing only.. after a while I fell in love with felt, and then a time later crochet came with it.

Most of my blogger friends are stitchers, some also got addicted to crochet, but mostly stitching.

I feel blessed that as I only show crochet at the moment, the stitching blogger friends stayed to watch what I'm doing and making all...

So thank you all..♥

A lot is happend in the past month. The weather is still doing what it wants...............

Then we have a really hot and sunny day, and the day after that rain rain rain... and that's what we see the last weeks. Today started to rain, but by lunch time, is was gone, and when it's was time too eat diner the sun was shining....

and when we have lovely day's we try too enjoy it

Here we went on a friday afternoon after school on our bikes to a little beach nearby to have a lunch on the sand and play in the water, after that went back home on our bikes.. Totally it was a bike ride of 13 km, and even Kira did a awesome job

On other day's we stayed at home, and play in the new playground or at home

Kids love it really much. yesterday my in-laws came with my nephew, he also loved it so much.. 

And on hot day's we build up our swimming pool, kids have so much fun, and mommy looking at it all and sometimes doing some crochet

Even at night....... :)

Today we went with Noah to the swimming-pool, and he got out with his last diploma!!

We are so proud of him, this time he had to swim with :  short shirt, long shirt, long trousers, socks, shoes and a rain-cout, as you see on the little above pictures.. and he did it all..

swim a total of 150 m normal, 150 m on his back, then all the other special jumps, dives etc etc.. They need to do so much..

Kira is now telling every-one that she finally also can learn to swim after the big vacation, we told her so weekds ago, and now summer is started, it's comming closer...

And if that's not all Noah got his first yellow slip with Judo.

He is such a big boy!!!.

Now he stops with swimming, and we go on with Judo, as he likes that very much..

So you will see more of that!

Last post I made Kira a beautifull horse, thank you all for your lovely comments about that.

Kira ordered the unicorn from me..

So I did.... made her the unicorn.

Can you imagine how happy she is with it!!he loves it very much.. BUT...... I still have to make her 3 more horses.. so in time I will.. 

I want to do that while trying out new pieces of yarn.. for that I need to work a few day's more.. lol.

Last week i was sorting out the kids rooms, and I needed to make a picture of the kids there bed..

 I think I have a boy and a girl in my house dom't you think????

Mommy we love you and love your crocheting.. I heard that a few times last weeks ♥

Kira now also has learned how to inline-skate, she is so happy with it.. and doing it with so much joy!!

Friday was the last day of school, so we now started a 6 weeks vacation. 

I still have to work 4 weeks, but hubby almost has vacation.

For the teachers I made a gift. The one in the middle is for the substitude teacher Noah had for almost the whole year, it was a teacher with golden hands as  called it.. she really was awesome, still very young, but so good with all the kids in teh class, it's because of her Noah did such a awesome job on school, and after summer he can go to the next class.. so I found someone who makes text on hearts, made it personally for this teacher, as she also has to leave school.....

For the other sweet teachers I made a crochet cover with hearts on to a jar of hearts..

They liked it very much

Slowly the R2-D2 blanket is progressing on..

And in my garden my veggies, gowing well.. I forgot to take pictures, only have this one.

This week I will see if we can eat some things.

I like cooking and baking still so much.. so last weeks I have tryed out a few recipe's.

This first dish is a soup, and indian soup.

I love cooking indian food, and from a colleague her grand ma I got this recipe to make Soto Ajam

I can tell you it's awesome.. really love it, as all the others in in house!!

i need to make it more often.. hihi

On warm day's I love to eat a summer meal salad.

Many healty things are in there.. even kids liked it.

A few day's ago it was hubby's birthday, so I baked a few pie's.

The above and below is a Miserable, it's a Belguim specialty, which I really much like to make, and is very very yummy..

In teh middle a carrot cake, for teh kids, as the Miserable is only sugar, and the kids don't get much sugar, and really love to eat this

you also can see the kids crafting.. we where making a paper garland and Kira wante dto make hubby a birthday-crown and Noah also wante dto make them.. I forgot to make pictures, but will do that and show it in my next post.

The diner you see the kids is for some-else.

Some of you know but not all, Hubby has been out of a job for a few times, and every time between he got 3 months/6 months, sometimes a year contract.. but 2 weeks ago he got a permanent contract. so we are very happy.. and that needed a celebrating..we went out to diner...Also my little bother was there he got his P in collage.. I have no idea how to explain that in English, but it';s very good, and now if he wants he can change to all other study's.

You can all remember Noah loves dolphins, and two years ago we went to teh Dolfinarium, that is a sea-zoo.

A few weeks ago we went again. here is store you often can get discount cards with grocery, a sweet friend of mine had some, so we could go with 50% off.. Now that;s very nice, as it;s not cheap

But Kids loved it so much again... Noah rememberd te last time we went, Kira was then to small . But Now she will remember it fo ever.. they both loved it so much!!

Dolphin are such awesome animals.. beautifull

My mailmen was sweet, he bring me a sweet pakage from Portugal from Nia.

She made the kids a sweet present.

As you can see Kira is very happy with her painting she made, and for Noah you have to wait a little bit longer, it's a surprise I;m working on for his room, And Nia and her hubby where so sweet to help me with it. I hope very soon you will see more of it!

And I got a new Xmas hanger, the last one she send me did not survive the plane.....

I'm so happy with such a sweet friend.. thank you Nia ♥ ♥ ♥
