Late Hoppe Easter and my run

So there I am again.

My blogging is the same as my crafting. Sometimes I craft many days, and sometimes none.. lol.

But as last time  have much to show you all

Last weekend it was Easter, this blog post was then planned, but here we are.

We had fun, did great things, and my camera was there with me so let me show you what we did

As you see the weather is getting better. We had rain and sun at Easter. So we where inside and outside. Also a lovely bike ride at the dike/water. Is was lovely.

We painted eggs, baked bread  ( first time, it was fun so not the last time!!) and most important ( hubby got creative..lol..he always says that my thing, but as you can see he is also good at it)

And looking for eggs that's still the most fun thing. At Hubby's job they organised a Easter-brunch with a easter egg hunt.. and also 2 big fake-eggs where hidden by the Easter bunny, as Noah was very enthusiastic he found one and also got a big gift.. lucky boy!!

oke, here it comes.. 

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!

I had so much fun, the only bad things was the weather-> Hard wind and much rain.

But that didn't spoiled the fun.

Ow it was raining so much,..

When you hate photo's never let them take photo's when you are running.. lol!!

CRAZY...

After 6 months of running, doing a run and I come as 8th over the finish from all 233 runners

So I think you can imagine how I felt!

SO HAPPY and PROUD.

And as you can hear in the movie ( really hope it does it) hubby and my kids too

So now next to crafting, cooking/baking, working in the garden, I have  a new addition runnning..
HELLUP.. need more time in a day/week.year :P

Last post I told you how proud Noah was that his name came in the newspaper..

It got even better last week.

Now he is again in the newspaper, BUT... with picture!!

And next to him his girlfriend looking at him ( you can't see that, but ow so sweet)

I love the picture so much, I emailed the paper, If I could get the photo, they gave me the email of the photographer, and she send me a email back with the beautifull photo that she made, and calles him a beautifull boy ♥ ♥ ♥.

I live across a little playground and  behind that is a football lawn.

This year they are going to change it to something new as slowly they are changing our district.

All the kids of our district could choose what they wanted in the playground, and the newspaper came to make pictures!!

Now choose the pirate-playground, and it won.. kids are all so happy.

!!! Now fingers crossed it will be finished before the summer !!!

We need to scan the papers both soon for the remember.

We didn't only bake the Easter bread but also Eclaires.

mmmmm yum yum

I'm told we need to make them more often.. lol!!
But I have to much more idea's for baking..

Yesterday we had our first summer day of the year!

Kids had so much fun, Kira even went upstairs to put on her swimming suit.

Today we had much rain, but this week we will get more beautifull summer weather.

I'm already working in the garden.. 

As you can see also with my crochet hook!!

 The garden is getting greener by the day!

And my beautifull MAGNOLIA that I planted last year is in bloom for teh very first time!

I love flowers in bloom!!

To many things to tell

Hi all,

I have so many things to tell, so many things to show.

I'm very very very nervous at the moment but will tell more about that at the end of the post .

I first wanne begin with a birthday.

Today is the birthday of my dear friend Valerie!! ♥

I finally made it to make and send a few gifts on time 

( way way behind on birthday's, but catching up)

This is what I made for the birthday girl

I didn't made very good pic's, it was dark that day!

But maybe she will show better ones on her blog.

The theme of her party is pink with grey, and her favo color is purle.

So after looking around on her pinterest ,in my stash pattern, this is what I all made!

I really hope she is very happy with it.

Two weeks ago we had a townsday, many organisations in town signed it, and they made a few competitions, one on them was a baking competition. I asked the kids and they loved it!

So we started baking, both there own cake.

You see them both working hard???

In the whole town where things to do ( I live in a small town)

Few things I show here in the above collage.

At my physiotherapist ( she is on the pic) they needed do a parcour. 

In the gym they could join for Tennis or Judo.

In a Atelier they could help paint.

Everywhere they could collect stamps.

But there was many more, I didn't made pic's of them all

At the end of the day, we needed to give the paper with the stamps, and wait in the townshouse who won the competitions.

 We had a awesome day, and they had so much fun, that was important.

After a few day's I heard that Noah's cake had 1 point lesser then the winner!!

All the kids loved his blue cake.

YEAH, YEAH,, ♥ ♥ Very good Noah!!

Then I was called if we where home in the evening, because they had something for Noah, and they wanted to give it before the newspaper came. So I presume he had won something. 

And YES he had won the stamp collect competition, and they told that would be in the newspaper, the winner of that, because they needed to time to see all papers!

Can you imagine how a little boy felt when he was the winner of the whole town and his name was also in the newspaper!!!

For the baking contest I already made him a diploma myself because that was so good of him..

Now he got another one

She his smile???

As Noah liked the Judo on that day, we have asked him if he liked to do that some more..

Then the thing I'm nervous about..

In a few hours I have my very first competition in running.

I'm doing a ladysrun of 5 km.

I'm typing here very nervous.

The weather is not working with me, it's raning and a very hard wind.
Really not good weather for running

But I love doing it!!

Getting 30 has changed my life.. LOL...

Never thought I would do this.

Sunshine the best medicine for us

Hi all,

How are you?

I'm getting better, last weekend I got a bad bad stumach flue. Ow my, what was I sick..

Lost a lot of weight again, slowly getting back on track, and the lovely sunshine is helping a lot.

Last week the kids had vacation, we had lovely weather so could do a lot of fun things.

I made a little collage for you 

As you can see all the sunshine we had..

There where also day's with rain, but we found enough activities to do, like painting, crafting, cooking. Not far from here one morning was organished that the kids could play, in a gymschool, what a fun they had.

and look-pie.. but I almost the only one with Kira who likes it.. hihi

As it was such great weather, it was really time to clean out the mess in the garden front and back.

And plant some Spring flowers

We also went gardenstore and bought some new plants.. 

See both kiddos lying on the hammock, and what about the big fish??

See the succulent plant in the middle? so funny the colors on it

Kids both wanted to buy something too.

Noah choose a blue Hydrangea, Kira's plant is inside ( on the next collage to see).

I also put Noah greenhouse in his place, he got it for his birthday last year, as you can see we planted some seeds, it what he likes so much.

They are in our back window, already getting out of there seeds.

next time I will take a picture, every day new seeds come out.. so fun to watch.

But also inside we put it all in Spring style

she wanted it on her kitchen in the living, so there it is.

I need to craft something for on that bench, but it will get there!

I also still have the pictures off the orchid plant in my living

These are already dead,. I was just in time with my picture.

I'm still so in love with these.. hope next years it will give me more flowers, I will talk to it every day

But I do crochet a big big Lalylala..

And big means BIG

After to finished above piece, I needed to order new yarn, Ordered 5 more yarn.

Still not enough, but it's a doll.

It needs to be a bunny, the free MOD  Rita the Rabbit from the lalylala serie, you can find on her site

In a while when I order yarn, I will order 2 more for this bunny... but first I have so many other projects.. and I like her how she is already.

Talking about my next project..

How many hours are there in a day??

I can tell you .

NOT ENOUGH!!!

Since both kids are at school, I thought I would have more time, to craft to do things for my self.

BUT..... it looks like that the days are getting shorter by the week..

I really have no idea where the time is these day's.
And i see my mail getting fuller and my blogloving list getting longer for reading (sorry, will be working on that this week)

That's why I don't have a real crafting update. but do have some great things to show you.

First let's start with Noah.

From school they got a note last year who like to enter the school swimming championship.

And as Noah's loves competitions, he signed in.

2 weeks ago it was the day

Noah had a awesome time

As he was the youngest and the smallest he ended last for his class group, but with a big smile, and a very very proud mommy and daddy 

From the girls he was 3th ... hihihi  ( they made a mistake, though he was a girl, so for 10 secondes he stood on the podium)

But the team he was swimming in ended 2nd so in 2 months there are provincial school swim championship, he can swim again.

The men who organist from our school told before that he wasn't looking at who is the fasted for selecting the teams, I think that is so cool, now other kids like Noah also have a change. He can't wait to swim the next time.

At the moment it's Carnaval here.

And Friday at school they also celebrated.

I had a easy sewing year. Noah wanted to wear his Starwars outfor from last year, and Kira her Elsa costume for her birthday.

And as cherry on the cake, Kira won being the most best dresses girl of the WHOLE school

And as smart Noah told me...: Mommy Kira won, so I also won, I'm her brother ... ( melt melt)

They both had the best morning, and after it vacation..

How fun to be a kid ♥

Last week I baked Bolussen, Its a real treat from the part I live in the Netherlands.

In our dialect we call them Jikkemien.

It's made with a special bread dough and brown sugar and cinnemon.

AND ow so YUMMY

It's the second time I made these ( first was about 8 years ago)

And not the last..

So yummy

Also love to bake with puff pastry

 Stuffed a few with chocolate, and a few with bacon and cheese

Yesterday made the same but them with croissant dough .. Even more yummy..

Last thursday I went with my sweet friend Petra to a big craft fair.

She had giving me the cards for my bitthday last year.. so sweet

It was a long drive for me, but I had a awesome day.

The piece I have been working on a lot the past weeks was the shrug for my colleague.

Can you remmber I finished it last year??.

It was a bit to small so I finished it bigger now, and she asked me to put letters on a crochet hat she made.

Also finished.

So on to the next project .....

I'm ending this post to pick up my crochet neeldes, and maybe my stitching needles..

Who knows... the evening is still young..

Valentine crafts, and a stitching update

Hi lady's and Gentlemen!

Are you having a white world also ?

Here they don't know what they want in the sky.. one moment it's white, next the rain let it al disaper again, and 20 minutes later it's all white again..

That was also on Monday.

I brought the kids to school, on our bike's ( forgot to look what the weather men would say).

Then I went to my physiotherapist, for treatment and fitness, after 45 minutes I look outside big big snowflakes where falling, many and coming hard down..

Ow my, I'm on my bike, the kids too... but also YEAH!!! snow again

( you know me I LOVE SNOW !!!!)

Pic was made inside at the physiotherapist.

I went home by foot, with my bike in my hand, while talking outside, I got all white and cold, so fast to home, warm shower, warm clothing, and I surprises the kids to get them from school with the slide.

Can you Imagine that they where thrilled and very happy

The two pic's on the left are from the morning, the playground I walked by, and one of my backyard.

The middle of the kids getting home from school. You can see the snow was already melting ( 2 hour after it started snowing, it was +2 gedrees, to hot for the snow). we got some more snow that day, and rain and sun.

At the end of the day, it looked on the street more like the picture on the right.

The day after I wanted to go skating.

Crazy me, but I thought the roads where clean..

Indeed.. but when I got at the dike the messy snow was frozen to the ground.

I can tell you trying to ice skate with inline skates a BIG NO NO 

So I turned back... but still got 7 km that morning..

I will stop talking about the cold snow, and show you some Valentine crafts I made to decoate my living =)))

I started with my wreath.

I found some great inspiration on Pinterest and some patterns, and this is what I made of it..

Simple but sweet!!

From some older crafts I decorated more

 Cute felted Valentine doll, and stitched pillow

And a Lizzie Kate with Fladder my cute crochet doll from last year!!

See the little snowdrops?

My Orchid had lost all his blooms, and putting it back in my back window I saw this one, getting in bloom..

We will wait and see fot it..

Tommorow I need to really make a picture of a other Orchid in bloom..

Then in my side window I put some old and new craft

Looking beautifull right??

This bench and doll, are older crafts.. I lost the letter L from LOVE.. need to look for it, or make a new one. Made both few years ago.

But the red and white is new

 The candles also from inspiration from Pinterest ( so addictive).

I bought new candles, some yarn around them, and pin a crochet heart on it.

The doll is made without a pattern..

I love crochet dolls.. Pinned many, this is one of my favorite, I started making it looking a lot to the picture..

It's not the same as the picture, but it looks pretty my Valentine doll..!!

Made a little mistake with the eyes.. Eyes on doll's do so much... so for the next time, I put them a bit lower, and more to the middle. For now very happy and proud on it!

Then it was time to take out a WIP from my box from last year.

The beautifull piece from Soda Stitch.

I'm working on page 1, left above..
I'm working backworths.. started at page 4 ending at page 1..
( BLONDddddd)

Making the boy and girl, happy the stitching some other colors then all the grey..

The clothing of teh boy and girl where made in a evening.. so maybe soon it's finshed.

 I'm very happy I got it out of the box.. I wanne finish it soon.

To beautifull to put in a box.

I only saw only the some backstitches where made with teh wrong color, so needed to frog it.

This morning we woke up and looked outside..

White again..

Again not much, be enough to feel JOY

So I took the slide, hurry up with the kids, and went to shool on the slide

To bad it was not enough snow. So it was very heavy to pull teh slide. It was good that after I brought the kids to school I had a appointement with my physiotherapist. :P

All fingers crossed, tomorrow morning I need to drive north all alone, so let's hope the sky is thinking of me and saving the snow and freezing till tomorrow night, so I can get safely to the north and back to the south again.. hihihi
