How many hours are there in a day??

I can tell you .

NOT ENOUGH!!!

Since both kids are at school, I thought I would have more time, to craft to do things for my self.

BUT..... it looks like that the days are getting shorter by the week..

I really have no idea where the time is these day's.
And i see my mail getting fuller and my blogloving list getting longer for reading (sorry, will be working on that this week)

That's why I don't have a real crafting update. but do have some great things to show you.

First let's start with Noah.

From school they got a note last year who like to enter the school swimming championship.

And as Noah's loves competitions, he signed in.

2 weeks ago it was the day

Noah had a awesome time

As he was the youngest and the smallest he ended last for his class group, but with a big smile, and a very very proud mommy and daddy 

From the girls he was 3th ... hihihi  ( they made a mistake, though he was a girl, so for 10 secondes he stood on the podium)

But the team he was swimming in ended 2nd so in 2 months there are provincial school swim championship, he can swim again.

The men who organist from our school told before that he wasn't looking at who is the fasted for selecting the teams, I think that is so cool, now other kids like Noah also have a change. He can't wait to swim the next time.

At the moment it's Carnaval here.

And Friday at school they also celebrated.

I had a easy sewing year. Noah wanted to wear his Starwars outfor from last year, and Kira her Elsa costume for her birthday.

And as smart Noah told me...: Mommy Kira won, so I also won, I'm her brother ... ( melt melt)

They both had the best morning, and after it vacation..

Last week I baked Bolussen, Its a real treat from the part I live in the Netherlands.

In our dialect we call them Jikkemien.

It's made with a special bread dough and brown sugar and cinnemon.

AND ow so YUMMY

It's the second time I made these ( first was about 8 years ago)

And not the last..

So yummy

Also love to bake with puff pastry

 Stuffed a few with chocolate, and a few with bacon and cheese

Yesterday made the same but them with croissant dough .. Even more yummy..

Last thursday I went with my sweet friend Petra to a big craft fair.

She had giving me the cards for my bitthday last year.. so sweet

It was a long drive for me, but I had a awesome day.

And in my mind so many beautifull projects..

So I hope I can find the time back.. because I wanne start making some of those idea's.

The piece I have been working on a lot the past weeks was the shrug for my colleague.

Can you remmber I finished it last year??.

It was a bit to small so I finished it bigger now, and she asked me to put letters on a crochet hat she made.

Also finished.

So on to the next project .....

I'm ending this post to pick up my crochet neeldes, and maybe my stitching needles..

Who knows... the evening is still young..

Valentine crafts, and a stitching update

Hi lady's and Gentlemen!

Are you having a white world also ?

Here they don't know what they want in the sky.. one moment it's white, next the rain let it al disaper again, and 20 minutes later it's all white again..

That was also on Monday.

I brought the kids to school, on our bike's ( forgot to look what the weather men would say).

Then I went to my physiotherapist, for treatment and fitness, after 45 minutes I look outside big big snowflakes where falling, many and coming hard down..

Ow my, I'm on my bike, the kids too... but also YEAH!!! snow again

( you know me I LOVE SNOW !!!!)

Pic was made inside at the physiotherapist.

I went home by foot, with my bike in my hand, while talking outside, I got all white and cold, so fast to home, warm shower, warm clothing, and I surprises the kids to get them from school with the slide.

Can you Imagine that they where thrilled and very happy

The two pic's on the left are from the morning, the playground I walked by, and one of my backyard.

The middle of the kids getting home from school. You can see the snow was already melting ( 2 hour after it started snowing, it was +2 gedrees, to hot for the snow). we got some more snow that day, and rain and sun.

At the end of the day, it looked on the street more like the picture on the right.

The day after I wanted to go skating.

Crazy me, but I thought the roads where clean..

Indeed.. but when I got at the dike the messy snow was frozen to the ground.

I can tell you trying to ice skate with inline skates a BIG NO NO 

So I turned back... but still got 7 km that morning..

I will stop talking about the cold snow, and show you some Valentine crafts I made to decoate my living =)))

I started with my wreath.

I found some great inspiration on Pinterest and some patterns, and this is what I made of it..

Simple but sweet!!

From some older crafts I decorated more

 Cute felted Valentine doll, and stitched pillow

And a Lizzie Kate with Fladder my cute crochet doll from last year!!

See the little snowdrops?

My Orchid had lost all his blooms, and putting it back in my back window I saw this one, getting in bloom..

We will wait and see fot it..

Tommorow I need to really make a picture of a other Orchid in bloom..

Then in my side window I put some old and new craft

Looking beautifull right??

This bench and doll, are older crafts.. I lost the letter L from LOVE.. need to look for it, or make a new one. Made both few years ago.

But the red and white is new

 The candles also from inspiration from Pinterest ( so addictive).

I bought new candles, some yarn around them, and pin a crochet heart on it.

The doll is made without a pattern..

I love crochet dolls.. Pinned many, this is one of my favorite, I started making it looking a lot to the picture..

It's not the same as the picture, but it looks pretty my Valentine doll..!!

Made a little mistake with the eyes.. Eyes on doll's do so much... so for the next time, I put them a bit lower, and more to the middle. For now very happy and proud on it!

Then it was time to take out a WIP from my box from last year.

The beautifull piece from Soda Stitch.

I'm working backworths.. started at page 4 ending at page 1..

Making the boy and girl, happy the stitching some other colors then all the grey..

The clothing of teh boy and girl where made in a evening.. so maybe soon it's finshed.

 I'm very happy I got it out of the box.. I wanne finish it soon.

To beautifull to put in a box.

I only saw only the some backstitches where made with teh wrong color, so needed to frog it.

This morning we woke up and looked outside..

White again..

Again not much, be enough to feel JOY

So I took the slide, hurry up with the kids, and went to shool on the slide

To bad it was not enough snow. So it was very heavy to pull teh slide. It was good that after I brought the kids to school I had a appointement with my physiotherapist. :P

All fingers crossed, tomorrow morning I need to drive north all alone, so let's hope the sky is thinking of me and saving the snow and freezing till tomorrow night, so I can get safely to the north and back to the south again.. hihihi

Thank you al for the birthday wishes for Kira's birthday.

She had a awesome time, and really felt like a princes..

I did found a picture of her hair this week, wanted to show you still :))))

Then my little neighbor boy turned 1 year just before New Year's eve, and his mother likes owls.

So I thought maybe it would be nice to make a owl rattle.

I made it without a pattern, just looked at a pinterest pin.

With real boy colors. 

Happy that the little boy was.. he put it in his mouth.

It also makes sounds so a great job on it.

Those are beautifull crochet dolls, soon I'm going to make a real big one.

But for start I wanted to make a mini.

Those pattern are re-designed by many people in to mini's.

And those are really tooooo cute too.

Baking is back in our home ( never was really gone).

And kids are making it now all totally alone..

Want do you think , should they like it??

 It has been more then a year ago that we made these.. ( bad bad mommy) but the cookie yar was full again with this egg-cookies, only egg's, sugar, flour and baking powder... but so so yummy..

Kids take them to school.

Then this is a new thing, and it will not be the last time I ( we) made them.

Pancake-muffins... 

yum yum.. are you drooling already???

Just make Pancake mix, put it in a muffin tin. One tin was made with only the mix, in teh other one we did raisins and apple.

As you can see the kids did it all.

I only told what they had to do it, how to do it, and how much.

We at them as a lunch, it where 24 muffins, after lunch ( and DH only tryed one, HE DOENST LIKE PANCAKES?????????) there where only 6 left... 

So we can conclude they where very yummy.

Since two weeks I bake every Tursday in Noah's class in school. There I tryed these both recepi's too.

The kids love it..

I'm already thing of what to bake next.. so more baking will come.

As Kira turned 4 years, she now also goes every day to school..

I'm so happy that she likes it.. ( mommy missing having kids in the house very very much)

SNOW!!!

How about you having snow???

Since the great snow we had on third Xmas, it was not much..

But thankfully last week at my Sil's they had a lot of snow in Belgium, so Kids could play.

We went inside, congratz to every one.. then kids wanted to play outside.. hihi...

They are so happy when they see snow.

In the evening we went for a big walk in the woods in the snow.. it was cold fun and wet.. At the end kids didn't like it so much anymore as they where cold and wet, but had fun in the snow

Kira's 4th birthday

Thank you all for your sweet comments on my last post.

We had troubles gettinng the photo's off the camera's on the laptop.. but it finally worked in a other way.

DH is still working on it to do it on my laptop..

But here finally is the post

Last weekend was the day.. Kira's 4th birthday.

That Friday, she had for the first time her kids-party.

We first eat pancakes, are there kids who doens't like pancakes???

I don't know them.. hihihi.

After the Pancakes, we tryed to make jewelry, Dh and I helped al lot. I don't have a picture if them all, but from a few, with two girls I make earrings, Hubby with Noah and a boy bracelets, and Kira and a other girl a necklace. They liked it, but also it was a bit hard still. so will try it again.. neighbor girl wanne come back and do it again.

After that ......  sugar time ..... we decorated cupcakes.. I made the cupcakes in the morning with the butter-cream, the kids could put it on that with help rom me, and then decorate it woth color balls and other things.. They had a lot of fun with it.

And as last we draw and cut and glue al kind of thing with a Frozen theme!!

As you maybe now, Kira is totally crazy about Frozen, expecially Elsa the snow Queen

So we made her birthday a little bit in Elsa/Frozen style..

I started to late, so didn't made much, but it was just enough, and she liked it that was the most important thing.

I made some snowflakes to hang all over the living room, made some Frozen hanger. and her presents of course

Kira run downstairs in too the living to her dress.

She came back to me.. mommy mommy thank you thank I love you..

That made my heart skip one beat. ♥

First time she tryed it on.. I was very curious if it would fit, as I didn't use a real pattern and fit it before. I wanted it to be a surprise.

She felt like a real princess, a Frozen princess, Elsa...

 I totally forgot to make a picture of her hair. I made the same braid as Elsa did and I had made her 6 hair pins with snowflake on them.

Dear Rita made the snowflakes for me last year with her machine.. I can't cute that beautifull.

And so it's easier. and dear Rita loved doing it.

I send her the felt and she send me back the snowflakes.. to sweet ♥ =)))

On the table you also can see Frozen shoe's. When kira and I where shopping last week, I found them, and could not leave them in the store. so we bought them. A few sizes to big, so she can wear them for a long time.

Kira is totally in love with dolls/cuddles.. and handmade are so fun too.

So I made a normall doll, and finished her off as a Elsa Doll.

And it worked out as I had in my mind.

Then as it was a sunday birthday party we always do a lunch then, because many family have to drive a while and Monday ear;y going to work.

So Kira and I made started to make a lunch..

We had  a lot of fun in the kitch.. ( 3 day's of cooking.. how fun is that)

I made stuffed eggs, chorizo-twisters, Ciabatta-bread, mushroom-soup.

Above right are sweet cinnamon rolls. they where yummy... omg.. I really have to make them again!!!

Made a salad, yummy meat/cheese, little baked bread, and some things for on them..

Also two differents Apple pie's..

I like making those, and , most like them too.

But every birthday I make a special pie..

This time wanted to make a Frozen one.

What I did with Noah's birthday a Starwars picture. I wanted to do again.

So ordered one, made a bigger cake then normal, and started decorating..

Kira was in love.. and it was very yummy too.!!!

Kira was spoiled so much..

So got a beautifull Frozen duvet.

It sleeps very great!!

She asked and got some money to but some Frozen things she wants.. They are out if store, so we have to wait a little while. 

But you can all imagine, she had a magical day!!

Happy New Year!!

I hope verybody, had awesome holiday's. and started a wonderfull 2015!

It has been a bit quiet here.

The short version is   .....   the bucket was full. 

It's a bit of a Dutch saying.

A lot has happend last year, at the end it was to much.

It's going a bit better.

Slowly I;m getting there, it will be a long way, but I;m on the right side of the road.

But this is my happy place, so let only talk happy things..

Most of the crafts I stopped with only crochet not.

It kept me going ,        it's easy.... don't think just do..

Also Kira's kitchen is decorated, as Noah has a little xmas tree on his bedroom, Kira also wants something.

Togheter with Noah's girlfriend we made Xmas tree out of felt and beads.. Kira has a pink one hanging in the kitchen, with Frozen Xmas ball from Hama Beads next to it..

And as Kira also wanted as Xmas tree I crochet her one, and decorated it with beads for on her kitchen

This year will work on more, I have other patterns too.

Kira played with it a lot.

And Noah choose this over the train we normally put under the tree.. ♥ ♥

Third Xmas day (27th) we got snow..

It only stayed here for 2,5 days, some places longer other shorter.

But we got some

And made a bic snowmen with it in our front garden ;))))

Kira called it Olaf ( lik ein teh movie Frozen)

Noah also got his next swimming diploma just before the Xmas-vacation

Now he has A and B, and is working on C, that are the normal diploma's we have here..

He also is practicing for the schoolswimcompatitions he signed in for.. 

They are in a few weeks.. he love's swimming..

Dessert on New Years Eve.

Now the busy day's are over so the calm decoration can come out of the boxes again

4 years already she will be a big girl

I last minute started on some presents for her.
